BACK STORY:
Girish was always a hard worker lived in the Mumbai city. He had been a vegetable vendor since he was a young boy and had always been honest and dedicative in his work. He loved music and was always striving to improve his skills. Girish had goal in life- to become a successful musician, He used to save up his earnings so that he could one day buy a musical instrument of his own. One day, he finally saved up enough money to buy a guitar. He was very happy and started practicing immediately. After a few months of practice, he became quite good at playing the guitar. He started performing at small events and gatherings. People started to take notice of his talent. He eventually started getting offers to play at bigger events. He started to make a name for himself in the music industry. Today, Girish is a well-known musician. He has achieved his dream and is living a happy and fulfilling life.
MOOD BOARD:
It is a compilation of images where I get the idea in developing the character.
CONCEPT SKETCH:
Exploring the possibilities of my character in different body shapes. Just brainstorming with the concepts that I've made up from the mood board and tried different faces in order to maintain the age of the character and I was also aiming to give the character a funny look.
TURNAROUNDS:
After approval of the concept sketch and faces I progressed on with developing the turnaround poses of the character.
FACE EXPRESSIONS:
As the turnaround of the character was having a muted expression, I was instructed to do an expression set for the character.
Face expression with body language:
Adding body language for more better expression.
ACCESSORIES / ASSESTS:
Now it was time to give the character some accessories which he's supposed to use in a scene.
CHARACTER IN ACTION:
It's time to give some dynamic features to the character combining all the work into one.
BACKGROUND:
Utilizing and adding the accessories to create a scene.
CHARACTER WITH BACKGROUND:
OUTCOME OF PROJECT:
At the end, I am able to understand what a character design is, to which particular audience that needs to be target and how to make it unique yet easy for others to understand.
